When it comes to climate change, there’s no doubt about the global impact we’re already witnessing. But here in Piemonte - and more specifically at Tenuta Il Finale - the situation, for now, feels somewhat more tempered, thanks to a unique combination of vineyard location and local climatic conditions.
That said, the full complexity of climate effects in this part of Piemonte may still be unfolding. The actions of some producers—moving to higher altitudes, planting new vineyards, and proactively adapting—may well be signs of what’s to come.
At Tenuta Il Finale, part of our philosophy is to plan thoughtfully for the future. This includes rethinking canopy management, carefully considering the timing of our harvest, and remaining open to evolving the profile of the wines we produce. Above all, authenticity guides us—we aim to craft wines that genuinely reflect the land they come from and the conditions in which they were grown.
Each wine is a response to its time and place: the land, the climate, and the unique challenges of every vintage.
Because ultimately, climate cannot be ignored.
